I wanted to let you all know that the Marines that I have names and addresses for are coming back to the Unites States please DO NOT send anymore letters or packages.. it probably WON'T make it to them! Thanks everyone for getting our Marines through this time of war!

If you know any soldier going overseas or already there and would like to share his name and address so that others might send he/she a letter or package, please feel free to contact me!

Thank you!

Recently, as you may know, over 10,000 marines were deployed to Afghanistan.  Many as young as 18.  My brother in law was one of them.  I have

always "appreciated" our troops for their

sacrifice.  Don't we all?  Well, at least we all utter those words.  But I think perhaps we neglect to really think about what they are risking.. what they are saving.  My brother in law's name is Charlie and he is 24.  He married my sister a little over 2 years ago.  Charlie recently told my sister on the phone, that he waited in line for over 2 hours for,  what will help get him through this tour of duty would be

letters, packages, any kind of contact.  So it started me to thinking...  What can I do to help?  So here I am...asking.. for anyone who wants to help get our Marines through the next year.. help me encourage them.. help me make the desolate, barren, dust filled desert a more bearable place for them to live.   Would you be willing to donate

toiletries?  Books? Phone cards?  Even just write a letter.  Charlie gave me a list of some Marines in his company that would also really benefit from your

encouragement.  Think of them as a shield..  They stand between country, and

danger..  And yet they do it proudly, and

honorably.  Perhaps we can show them some respect, a little kindness, and

remind them where they come from.  America is still a great nation..and we do not forget!  Please accept the challenge, and help me get our Marines through the next year by encouraging them with packages and letters!

You are welcome to send the package directly to the Marines we have listed, or you can send them to me and I will pass them along.  It's up to you. :)   Currently I have names of 6 Marines that would benefit greatly from your encouragement.  I am sure the list of Marines will grow.  If you are interested in being a part of supporting our troops then please fill out the contact form below or email me directly at charlieinafghanistan@gmail, and I will get back with you a soon as possible! Thank you in advance!

The country test-fires another short-range missile, warning it will act in "self-defense" if provoked by the U.N.

This was taken from Fox News HERE.

This picture of the recent activity should encourage us all the more to remember our troops..  Please take some time to thank the people that give you freedom.
